We are recruiting sewing machinists for a trendy office furniture manufacturer outside of Chard. This is an exciting opportunity for skilled sewers to work in a fun, production environment; producing beautiful bespoke furnishings.

 

Work involves:

• Cutting and sewing fabrics for furniture manufacture on flat and overlock machines including using cutting machine
• Cutting and shaping materials with hand and machine tools
• Working out the quantity and type of materials needed
• Setting the cutting machine
• Sewing different fabric types
• Changing machine settings
• Checking finished work against the pattern instructions
• Cleaning and routine daily maintenance on machines
• Sewing different fabrics like cotton, wool, leather or industrial textiles
  
  
  

Monday-Friday 7:30-16:30, early finish Friday's (13:30)

Salary: £20,000-£24,000.00 per year, this is negotiable and depending on experience
